"When I recently decided to transition from behind the scenes celebrity stylist to on-camera leading man in the soon-to-be-released feature The Unseen, it was crucial to find someone to help me create my look for the character I would portray, Sammy. After meeting with a plethora of hair and make-up gurus, we came across Atlanta’s own hometown girl Jacque Carder. Her qualifications spoke for themselves. She was versatile enough to head a department, and yet be hands-on with talent. My character in the film was a difficult transition from red carpet glamour boy, to a blind, abused shut-in with no sign of a haircut in years. Jacque was on the job everyday with a smile on her face and a gentle touch with her hands. She always went above and beyond whenever possible, and was always prepared for the unexpected. My character was in contacts lenses that actually made me blind, and I had to stay in them throughout shooting. So I was definitely in need of TLC and an extra pair of eyes to navigate the obstacles of a country location, and Jacque was always there complete with southern charm, hospitality, and an eagerness to be a people pleaser day or night.
